Edgewood Mural Jam, August 15, 2009
On August 15, 2009, 45 youths participating in the Edgewood Mural Project, a 6-week course in community art administered by Albus Cavus, will execute a planned mural measuring 6000 square feet, the largest mural space in DC. This event will take place at 550 Rhode Island Avenue NE, Washington DC in the Rhode Island Avenue Shopping Center adjacent to the Rhode Island Avenue Metro Station on the Red Line. Artists will also contribute their own works elsewhere along the 900 plus foot wallspace. The Mural Jam will take place on Saturday, August 15th, from 9am to 8pm.

Public Opening
August 22, 2009
The Public Opening will occur on Saturday, August 22th from 10am to 8pm. This event will allow the public to learn about and appreciate the artwork and feature live music, deejays, giveaways and an artist market, as well as other special events to be announced.
Among the various events taking place at the Public Opening of the Edgewood Mural on Saturday, Aug. 22nd, Albus Cavus will be hosting a Artist Market for all artists associated with the Mural Jam. All artists are invited to set up their own tables and sell their work: prints, canvases, apparel, etc. If you are not able to attend, you may forward your work to Asad Walker for sale.
